M1 Finance

So What Is M1 Finance?

This platform is a little more advanced than Acorns but is still what I would consider to be an entry level means to get into the market. M1 allows you to control your own portfolio and choose how you want your money to be invest. This is done through something they call "pies" and "slices". Each investment you choose for your total "pie" is considered a "slice". These slices can be as large or as small as you'd like, but they will add up to 100% of your "pie". So think of it as a pie chart.

Each of your investment will be a % of your total investment, and that is determined by how large you made that certain slice of pie. These slices can be stocks, mutual funds, index funds, REITs, ect. It's totally up to you since it is your portfolio and you're doing all the research on how you want your money to be invested.

M1 also has some pre-made pies that you're able to choose from if you don't want to do a lot of research yourself and want them to handle everything for you. These "expert pies" all have different financial goals and objectives to get there. You're able to reach into each and see how they fair in the market and test if they're right for you.

Are You Interested?

Just like with Acorns, I have an M1 REFERRAL LINK that you can use to get a bonus when you sign up for M1 Finance. This link will give you $10 bonus once you fund your account. I will warn you that the minimum to use M1 is steeper than Acorns, but that is why there is a large referral bonus for those that do sign up.
